Daiwa Steez A TW HLC

The Daiwa Steez A TW HLC is a new product for 2021 and comes in three gear ratios - 8.1:1, 7.1:1 & 6.3:1 The housing is made of an aluminum alloy and the spool diameter has been increased to 36mm, so that even longer casts are now possible. It should be noted that the HLC (Hyper Long Cast) was designed for weights of 1/2 oz and above, and therefore only reaches its full potential at that weight. However, the reel is suitable for weights of approximately 1/4 oz and above. With a gear ratio of 7.1:1 and a resulting line retrieve of 80cm/crank revolution, or 71cm/crank revolution at 6.3:1, the reel is ideally suited for medium-weight perch and zander fishing. It offers a maximum drag of 6kg and weighs 190g. 8.1: has a line retrieve of 91cm/crank revolution and a braking force of 5.5kg. The 36mm Magforce Boost G1 spool, combined with the new, improved Magforce Z drag system, allows for extremely relaxed casting distances and offers ample line capacity. The TW system further increases casting distances when using thicker fluorocarbon lines. As a suitable line, we recommend the test winner of braided lines from Japan , Seaguar R18 Seabass x8 .
