The Megabass GreatHunting Huntsman is an extremely specialized model for true nature lovers and purists in trout fishing. The hunting-angle handle, perfectly suited for precise point casts from any angle, is handcrafted. It adheres to the ergonomic specifications of the Megabass Factory and is meticulously crafted from pure natural wood. The slim blanks generate incredible power, based on the rod technology of Itō Engineering – renowned for masterpieces like the Kirisame and Elise, which have enabled countless exceptional catches. The new guide system, designed for weight reduction, ensures ultra-low resistance by consistently minimizing line stress, enabling longer casting distances with a low arc and seamless, high-resolution retrieves. The guides are constructed from the latest ultralight titanium frame with SiC material. The seat components are precision-machined from a solid block of high-performance aluminum, while the specially designed ultra-thin, high-performance trigger, along with the ergonomically shaped natural wood handle, provides a stress-free fit and a high degree of rigidity. Together with the handcrafted natural wood handle, designed for human ergonomics, this combination creates a perfect fit with maximum stiffness, supporting the angler in the challenge of facing the finest brown trout. GHBF53-3UL A versatile model that forms the core of the HUNTSMAN series. It was developed with a Power Matrix design that expands its capabilities compared to the GHBF48-3UL. This allows it to handle stronger currents and larger fish, as well as a wider range of lure sizes. It offers excellent control with heavy-sinking minnows and enables comfortable, continuous twitching even in strong currents. Its directness and light handling extend arm action, allowing for active casting with snap casts using only the wrist. The ergonomic design ensures smooth, long casting distances and superior control over all lures. The robust butt section with high flex torque provides ample power to effortlessly handle not only fish the size of a shaku (approx. 30cm), but also the strong pull of ishigaki over 40cm or native rainbow trout.
GHBF511-4L This is a special fishing rod model by Yoshiki Ito, designed for catching the broad-bodied Yamame, also known as "Tanabira," in the main rivers of Kiso, Shinshu. To realize the insights and foresight of Ito, who has been fishing Kiso-Tanabira continuously for approximately 13 years, it was custom-made by MPW (Megabass Performance Works). This rod was specifically designed for targeting Tanabira, emphasizing precise lure management, continuous high-speed snap casting, and instant bite detection (feel) at the correct distance from the lure. For this purpose, fine sandalwood was selected. Since fishing is primarily done with twitching, the balance of the tip-down design was optimized and it was intentionally crafted in a short length. The special blank, designed for typical river conditions, harmoniously complements this design. It allows for comfortable casting of heavy, weighty minnows like the GH65, which are typical for use in main currents. This rod enables precise reactions and lightning-fast bite detection and landing – ideal for quickly landing large fish without being distracted by the strong current. The unique setup is specifically designed for fast landings.
