The SVS∞ (Infinity) of the "Shimano '25 Antares" reel, with its consistent, long-lasting ballistics thanks to fully automatic braking systems, ensures smooth casting distance right to the end of the cast. The spool selection for the new Antares has been optimized to maximize these characteristics. The line capacity is 100m with 14lb nylon, with a diameter/width ratio of 37/21 mm. The use of the newly developed Magnumlite IV spool, which corrects the line lay pattern with its inverse taper, along with the new line guide and the wave shaft axis optimally matched to the respective gear ratio, results in a balanced, even line lay. This significantly reduces spool vibrations during casting. Combined with proven features like Silent Tune and the S3D spool, energy loss during casting is avoided, resulting in an impressively long casting distance – a breathtaking feeling. The nue Antares is the first baitcasting reel to feature a Silent Drive, ensuring smooth and effortless operation, supported by three bearings in the drive gear. The ergonomic handle fits naturally in the hand, while the clutch is designed for easy access. This allows for fluid execution of all movements – from gripping and clutch operation to casting, lure presentation, and retrieval.
