Nature Boys Iron Tomahawk

The Nature Boys Iron Tomahawk series was developed based on practical, field experience to ensure robustness and reliability. Seven models with power classes from 5 to 12 have been developed, capable of holding their own against bluefin tuna, hiramasa, buri, kihada (yellowfin tuna), and GT. Production takes place in Japan, and the models meet the Ocean Guide T2 standard. Following trials in the Izu Islands, Aomori (Nature Boys' birthplace), Boso Peninsula, Genkai-nada, Sado, Sakata, Hokkaido, Oki Islands, Tango, and Goto Islands, four models will be released gradually as pre-release versions starting in April 2024. 825S: This model is a 5-power underhand and side-casting rod primarily used in the Sotobo region offshore. The tip section of the highly elastic, fast-action blank is equipped with titanium guides. It is designed for precise casting, even with light lures. It is suitable for fishing for bream, bonito, and kihada (yellowfin tuna) with sinking baits to target schools, as well as for subtle attracting techniques. In spring, it can be used in the waters of Genkai-nada and the Sea of Japan to catch micro-prey fish in PE5 to PE6 weight classes using an overhand casting style.
846S:
This Nature Boys Iron Tomahawk utilizes highly elastic carbon fiber, and its blanks, which emphasize the balance between the feel of the action and the ability to bend and return during the fight, are suitable for attracting Hiramasa (yellowfin tuna) and Kihada Maguro (yellowfin tuna). They excel at long-distance casting with jigs of approximately 60-80g, commonly used for offshore casting in coastal waters. While PE6 is considered standard, it has the strength to handle up to PE8, making it flexible. Despite its 8ft 4in length, it is lightweight thanks to minimal decoration. In addition to its sharp, sweeping action for long casts, it also allows for powerful lure transfer with a compact motion in situations where control is paramount, facilitating precise, pinpoint casting.
868S:
A long model measuring 8 feet 6 inches in length, constructed from highly elastic carbon fiber. The blanks offer a precise feel, flexing and returning to the hand, making them ideal for fishing for large yellowfin, yellowfin grouper, and bluefin tuna. They excel at long-distance casting with 100-120g jigs, commonly used in offshore casting. The rod is flexible and can be used with PE8 line, ranging from light casting action with PE6 to powerful fighting action with PE10. Despite its 8-foot 6-inch length, it weighs only 378g and is well-balanced without a heavy tip. It allows for long casts when targeting yellowfin, tuna, and GT fish, enabling you to directly target distant schools and spots.
809M:
An 8-foot model designed for targeting bluefin tuna (80-180g), large yellowfin tuna, and yellowfin grouper. The durable, low-elasticity blanks are suitable for a wide range of fish, from 20kg groupers to 50-100kg bluefin tuna. It allows for a stable stance even under heavy drag. This rod is primarily designed for PE8 to PE10 line and features large guides that function well even with guide slides, including when using a PR knot with a 200lb leader. The large spool of the 18000-20000 size spinning guide provides exceptionally smooth line release. It is suitable for fishing for 50-100 kg bluefin tuna in the Tango, Niigata and Sakata areas, as well as for large yellowfin and GT fish with large jigs over 24cm.
7810M
A PE12-compatible model designed for catching giant bluefin tuna weighing 100 kg to 200 kg. At 7 feet 8 inches in length, it can be used for both attracting and shooting at schools of fish. It can cast and retrieve lures and jigs ranging from medium-sized 100 g to 200 g dolphin-like plugs. The blanks, which contain a high percentage of fiberglass, flexibly absorb stress during a fight, thus reducing strain on the angler. The blanks are also long enough to touch the bottom directly under the boat when turning. The rear handle is designed to be longer to accommodate the gimbal-style rod in a low position, and the handle end is made of aluminum.
