The MONSTER SURF 1092 , a limited-edition model specifically designed for surfcasting with exceptional casting distance, was released in a strictly limited run of 500 pieces. Utilizing prepreg and manufacturing techniques exclusive to this limited-edition model, the MONSTER SURF 1092 offers the three fundamental performance characteristics of the MSS-1092-TR base blank: excellent casting distance, high maneuverability, and precise tracking. This blank, with its extremely high recovery force, surpasses all these qualities in terms of comfort.

Of particular note is the adjustment of the maximum casting weight to 55 g , which is 5 g more than the base blank. This change extends the upper limit of the comfortably fishable lure range without affecting the lower limit. As a result, the MSS-1092-TR now has sufficient recovery power to cast a 50 g jig – a weight that previously represented the limit for full casts.

Although the overall strength and resilience of the blank have been increased, the blank and rod weight are lighter than the base model. This means there is no loss of performance due to added weight. However, the enormous recovery force common to all previous Limited models still requires powerful casts to fully exploit the rod's potential.

With long days of fishing in the open surf in mind, the rod's power output was deliberately designed to be somewhat more moderate compared to previous models. This allows monster surf anglers to consistently achieve the impressive casting distances they expect without delay.
