The "Jackall Slick Bait" is a hard bait that allows anyone to easily execute a sideways swimming action commonly known in Japan as "yoko-yoko." While this technique is typically used with soft plastics, these often require a certain amount of water resistance before initiating a sideways movement, resulting in a somewhat sluggish start. In contrast, the Slick Bait has a higher buoyancy than soft plastics, allowing for manipulation with subtle rod movements. This ease of sideways movement enables anglers to imitate cornered baitfish near the bank without alerting bass to their presence and thus triggering strikes. The rotating eyelet on both sides of the lure ensures a stable landing position on the water. This allows for an immediate and effective response upon landing, enabling anglers to attract bass just below the surface without being detected. The fins attached to either side of the eyelet on the lure's belly help reduce hook flutter and minimize line tangles during casting. While the "yoko-yoko" technique can lure perch to the surface where other lures are out of reach, soft plastic lures sometimes lack a certain appeal. This is where the Slick Bait shines, utilizing the pronounced power of a hard lure. It features a rattle that reacts quickly to even the slightest movements, attracting perch with its noise. Furthermore, the shimmering action of plastic lure materials stimulates the predatory instincts of perch.
