The "Nature Boys Diving Bird" is an innovative jig that cuts through the current and reaches the desired depth in a flash, landing within striking distance. Its crisp side-to-side movements attract fish, and the subsequent rapid dive triggers reaction strikes – particularly effective when targeting Sakuramatsuburi (Sakura salmon). The pulling force is extremely low, enabling an impressive slide and fall action reminiscent of diving birds. In reverse mode, the jig transforms into an ultra-slow-fall jig that maintains an exceptionally long horizontal position after a jerk. This is particularly advantageous in slow-moving conditions for targeting pelagic or bottom-dwelling fish. For fishing for Sakuramatsuburi, we recommend using light jerkbait rods or specialized slow-jigging rods, combined with small to medium-sized baitcasting or spinning reels. The PE line should be between 0.8 and 1.2 mm, depending on the rod's stiffness; for targeting king salmon, we recommend a line thickness of over 1.5 mm. The basic technique involves actively moving the jig with a pitch and a jerk. Take a little extra time between jerks to deliberately create a slide followed by a quick dive. The target range varies depending on the current, but for vertical jigging, it's between 20 and 60 meters with a weight of 125g.
